I love this little angel. Zoey was born July 22, 2011 and I am obsessed! I could hold her and love on her all day. She already has a spunky personality.

College life

OK I am horrible at staying on top of everything. I am trying to get use to being on my own and being a big girl. I love being on my own though. Here are a few pics of the house and my room. My roommate Whitnie and I love decorating, so we are having a blast. I love life and I am doing great!

Graduation

I graduated guys! I am so happy. It was a very rough year, but God made it all happen for me. Almost all my siblings came down and supported me. Baric couldn't make it but Sonja was a trooper and brought all 5 kiddos down! I loved spending time with them. I am so blessed to have such wonderful family. My Dad is so wonderful. I am so glad I had him there to watch me graduate. I know my mom was there sitting right next to me and screaming when they called my name! Thank you everyone for all your love. I feel so old. Since graduation I have set up my own bank account and I have been searching for apartments in Cedar City. I am so ready for college. Life is finally starting for me. Picture post coming soon...

I love making my house a home! I love that almost everything in my house has been handed down to me and or garage sale. One of my favorite pieces is the cute little table that has my lamp and other little doodads. It was really my mother's sewing machine that needs repairing. It has been so fun and time consuming, but totally worth it. I love the fun vibrant colors and I am excited for my next project. Don't worry pictures to come!

Our nations Capital!

Just wanted to share some of my favorite things from my Washington DC trip! I loved it by the way! I am so lucky I had the opportunity to go. I had so much fun! It was absolutely beautiful! I want to take my Dad back soon. He would have been in Heaven! Oh and just a fun fact. Did you know that no film has ever been filmed in the white house? I was so sad when I found out that "American president" wasn't filmed there. Enjoy!

Making my house a home

OK I've been meaning to put these pictures up. My tiny little apartment is getting a makeover of my crazy funky taste!First on my list. The table is a pink vintage coffee table that I got at a boutique for 30 instead of 45 dollars whoo hoo! The chair is from goodwill believe it or not! It smelled like smoke and had cat hair all over it! It was so gross... its a WORK IN PROGRESS! Last but not least that adorable blanket you see on the back of my couch, yep my blanket I've been wanting from Anthropologie that Sister Hoopes bought for me for Christmas! I love her so much I was so shocked when I opened it! More pictures to come. I am having a blast being a little homemaker!

He got it!

So my sweet sister taught me how to crochet and I made a hat for Elder Hoopes for his cold winter in Cherbourg, France. He finally got our package on Christmas eve! I hope he loves it! I forgot how to make hats already so he is the only one who gets one! Don't mind the thing on the table, its sweetish meatballs. Its actually very good. I ate it at his families house on Christmas eve. Sweet sister Hoopes invited me while my Daddy was working.Merry Christmas everyone and happy new year!

I'm going to be a surgeon!

So for my anatomy class we did cat dissections. We looked at all of there muscles and stuff so cool! I was the only one in my group that would touch it. Yes, there were boys in my group. They were so grossed out. So I would just like to thank my brother Dax for taking me in and making me be his little "brother" so later on in life I would be able to dissect cats! I'm not really going to be a surgeon ha but I know I could do it!

When life gets too hard to stand, kneel.

This past month has been a very difficult month. I have been very sick and have just had one rough thing after another. It has put me in a bad mood and has made become a very unhappy person. I am surrounded by a lot of good people and family who love me and want to help me and I just haven't wanted to take the help. I would ask Heavenly Father for help and no answer. I've known this concept for a very long time and it just took a while for it to kick in. Several people noticed how happy I was and it was because I chose it. I make my happiness. I make that small and simple choice that most of us tend to make a lot bigger. I love you all and want to thank you for your support. Please don't stop! I will always need you, after all family and friends are the only true important things in this life.

Christmas List? more like wish list...

So I decided I can afford my style. I love the store anthropologie! I am trying to decorate my sad little apartment and add some fun colors and these are a few things I really want until I saw the price tag! Sad day, but hey there is nothing wrong with wishing! Oh and the boots aren't to decorate with of course they are for me! Aren't they stinkin cute?

Miss him

So, I really miss this kid I know I haven't posted much on my blog and most of them are about Elder Hoopes; I can't help it! He is so funny and thoughtful! He writes me of his success and it is helping me grow so much! He sent me these pictures and I just wanted to share them. The top 2 are from an address he found in France that reminded him of me because my Mom's name is Valerie and he knows how special she is to me. I love how toughtful he is we are so cheesy! Even though we are thousands of miles apart we can still have those same dorky vibes! Anyone have any ideas of what to send this Elder for Christmas? Oh and the bottom is him making a heart out of something not sure haven't asked! Miss you Elder Hoopes!

Oh and Vanessa don't even get me started about the hair it didn't grow and Mom always chopped it off! this dress in color is baby blue btw love it! So fun!

Missin Mom

So I just miss my Mom and these are just a few things that remind me of her and that I have been watching. I actually almost bought a Dr. Pepper chapstick today, I really wish I would have! Enjoy!

These are a little late, but the girls and I went to the Jonas brothers/ Demi concert and we had a blast! I know they are weirdies but hey we made it fun and enjoyed ourselves! And yes I know we look so attractive in the first picture. haha Oh and Btw we made out shirts! So fun I hope we do it again soon, but a better concert for sure! Miley Cyrus? Yes I am kidding!

He is officially in Paris!

Elder Hoopes is in Paris France! I am so proud of him. I am sad I don't get to write him till he gets his apartment address which will take about a month and a half, but its ok he sent me his last letter from the Mtc... its my favorite letter so far! Hilarious pictures and a few other cute things! Hand written letters are so much more fun to get then emails. They are so sweet and you know they had to take the time to write it so its more special. Jonathan and I decided even if he can email we will continue to hand write cause its so fun and I love going to the mailbox and finding his letters. He has changed so much already, I love it! I miss my best friend!!! Its hard not being selfish cause I want him here so bad, but in his last letter he wrote its just another test of our faith that we need to rely on our Savior. Yeah he has definitely changed and he will have a huge impact on the people in France! I wish him all the luck in the world!

Leaving on a jet plane.. just messin just movin!

Well My Dad and I will be moving into an apartment this weekend and I am so excited it will be nice to finally get our own space and spend more time together hopefully! If any one feels like helping us move let me know it would be much appreciated! We will have 2 pools/ hot tub, work out center, playground (which I will definitely be using haha jk). Um yeah I am so stoked can't wait to decorate and have my own cute little house!

Cliff Jumping, Watermelon and bees...

So some friends and I decided to go Cliff jumping and I wanted to take pictures, but I would've gotten my camera wet. After all the fun we went back to the truck and had a delicious watermelon and the bees decided to join us. They were everywhere! So we took a piece of it and set it away from the truck so they would go to it and an open pop can... didn't help much. We killed a bunch of them though! Such a fun day oh and these drunk guys just happened to be where we would always go!
